Obituary for Paula J. Beal

Paula J. Beal (nee Dixon), age 76 died on October 9, 2017. Paula was raised in Collingswood, NJ and was a graduate of Collingswood High School in 1958. She lived in Woodbury from 1972 until 1998 when she moved to the Lakebridge section of Deptford. Paula formerly worked for Bell Telephone. She began a career at Saloff Jewelers in Woodbury and after 10 years, purchased the business in 1982. Paula and her husband John owned and operated Saloff Jewelers in Woodbury until her retirement in 2006.
Paula was a founding member of the Haddon Heights Women’s Club, member of the Woodbury Merchant and Professional Assn, Woodbury Junior Women’s Club and Past President of the Woodbury Women’s Club. During her retirement, Paula enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Paula was a devoted wife and a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John T. Beal, Jr., sons John T. III (Joan), Gregory, Christopher, Jeffrey, Brian (Ann), brother Roland Dixon, Jr., 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Galen.
Friends may greet the family on Sunday after 12:30pm in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ. Memorial service will be at 2pm. Memories may be shared at www.buddfuneralhome.com.
