Obituary for George P. Tash

George P. Tash Sr, age 89, died on April 4, 2018. George lived in Deptford over 53 years. He served in the US Army from 1946-1951 during World War II and the Korean War. George and wife, Norma, were married on the TV show, “Bride and Groom” in 1954. George worked for Bank of America for 38 years and retired in 1990. He was a member of Woodbury Country Club for 32 years and served as President of the Club for one year. He was an avid golfer and bowler. George was also a member of the Deptford Elks Lodge # 2708.

Survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Norma F. (nee Watts), sons George (Kristen), Steven (Cathy, deceased), Michael (Sandra); brothers Paul Tash and Robert Tash, and sister, Bertha DeCredico; much loved grandchildren, Lisa McCoy (Joseph) and Steven Tash, George and John Tash, Michael and Abigail Tash. He was the son of the late Alice (nee Mount) and Paul Tash; and brother of the late Alice Kuhnel, Joseph Tash, Edward Tash, and Mary Marino.

Friends may greet the family on Monday 6-8:30pm and Tuesday after 10am in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave. (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11am. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery. Memories may be shared at www.buddfuneralhome.com.
