Obituary for Fay E. Ahern

Fay E. Ahern (nee Patton), age 77 passed away with her family by her side on November 13, 2017. Born in Woodbury Underwood hospital and raised in Westville , Fay graduated from Woodbury High School in 1958. She lived in Deptford most of her life and moved to West Deptford three years ago. Fay worked for the Deptford Township MUA as a Billing Clerk for 14 years. Fay was a member of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society. Fay was an elegant, soft spoken lady with a winning smile and an easy laugh. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, dancing and loved sugar maple trees. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years John J., children Eileen (Ray) Schillinger, Kathleen Wurster, John (JoAnn), mother Gladys Patton, brother Ned (Carol) Patton, sisters Ruth (Robert) Little, Lois (Rev. Wesley) Hawk and grandchildren Cameron and Alec Schillinger, Morgan and Grant Wurster, Alison and Bridget Ahern and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the family on Friday 7-9pm in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave, Woodbury, NJ and on Saturday 9:30-10:45am in Holy Angels Parish (Most Holy Redeemer Church), 1215 Delsea Dr, Westville, NJ 08093 followed by a funeral mass at 11am.
