Obituary for Carole Gioia

Carole Gioia (nee Hughes), age 74 died on September 8, 2017. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Carole moved to Oak Valley in 1967. The most important thing to Carole was her family. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed family gatherings. She loved cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. Predeceased by her husband Alexander Sr. She is survived by her children John A. Gioia (fiancé Nancy Douglas), Carol Ann, Alexander D. Jr., siblings John Hughes, Marie Ianoale (Phil), nieces Jennifer Ianoale (Delia), Erika Ianoale-Arters (Lee), Jeanine Ianoale Tracey (Michelle) and great niece Chloe Tracey. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday 7-9pm in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave. (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ and on Wednesday 9-10:45am in Infant Jesus Parish (St. Margaret’s Church), Third and Beech Sts, Woodbury Heights, NJ followed by funeral mass at 11am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the the South Jersey Food Bank, 1501 John Tipton Blvd, Pennsauken, NJ 08110 or the Gloucester County Meals on Wheels.
